We often get asked about what do we use that particular product for and this week we would like to showcase Crackle Paint from Ranger Inks. This easy to use in one step paint has a built in brush and is a perfect product to create that Distressed look. Add an instant aged look to Cardstock, chipboard, grungeboard and more. This acrylic paint dries with a crackled effect that occurs on its own as it dries and comes in 24 fabulous colors. A medium application of this paint will result in smaller cracks or use a thicker coat to create larger cracks. Note - a thin application will not work as well as it needs something there to be able to crack.

Start by shaking the jar to mix the paint and if it is too thick feel free to add a small touch of water. You will want to add water only if the paint is too thick to use. If you are using unfinished wood or a natural canvas it is suggested to prime the surface first with an acrylic paint such as the Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabbers. Once your paint has crackled you might like to highlight the cracks using one of the Distress Dye Stamp pads and an ink blending tool. The matching color of the Distress inks will accent the cracks giving another wonderful look!

Check out the wonderful selection of colors.

Let us know if you would like us to Demo this product for you next time you come in!
